Catterall in the frame for a world title shot
Chorley’s Jack Catterall sent Ekow Essuman flying through the ropes with a brutal knockout on Saturday night at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
The Chorley fighter got off to a bright start, before Essuman began to take the initiative late on.

However, just as Essuman started to come on strong, Catterall caught his rival with a huge flurry of shots to close the show.
It was the type of statement Catterall needed to establish himself amongst elite company at 147lbs following an anti-climactic return to the division against Harlem Eubank in July.
Essuman required oxygen and was down for a lengthy period, but thankfully, he was back on his feet before the result was made official.
And post-fight, he called out every champion in the division, he said: "I want all of them, Crocker, Barrios, Norman Jr, Romero.
"Ekow is a solid fighter and he pushed me but I did what I needed to do out there. I have been working on things, having the confidence to let the hands go.
"This was the second fight at welterweight – I can still punch but it’s just having the confidence to keep throwing those hands and letting them go. I am feeling good and excited for what’s next.”
His promoter Eddie Hearn added: “This is the fight that we believe will make him mandatory for the winner of next week’s fight (between Brian Norman JR and Devin Haney).
"What a fight that will be and Jack is going to be No.1 for the WBO. There are so many options but that was a big win and big respect to Ekow Essuman. He’s a tremendous fighter and a good guy.”
