TT 2026: Jackson Racing's Jordan 'gutted' after losing podium spot
Paul Jordan admits he was “gutted” to miss out on a podium in Tuesday’s opening Monster Energy Supersport race after finishing fourth.
The Northern Ireland rider held third position on the Jackson Racing by Prosper2 Ducati for much of the reduced three-lap race, but was overhauled by Peter Hickman (Swan Racing by PHR Performance Triumph).
It was a strong result for Jordan, but the Magherafelt man says his “clear target” is a top-three finish.
Jordan will have a further opportunity to achieve his aim in the second Monster Energy Supersport race, which is currently scheduled to run today.
The 35-year-old joined the 130mph club at the TT in Sunday’s RST Superbike race, finishing 10th on the Jackson Racing by Prosper2 Honda.
Jordan said: “On the one hand, I’m happy to finish fourth when you look at the calibre of the riders that finished ahead of me but on the other, I’m gutted not to have finished on the podium as that was the clear aim.

“I had a good first lap, but when I caught Mike [Browne] on the road, I lost some time trying to get by him and when I did, I couldn’t pull away so we ended up swapping positions a bit.
“The bike wasn’t quite pulling properly in sixth gear, so it was also a bit frustrating not to be able to stick with Dean [Harrison] when he came by me.
“It’s another fourth place though so we’ll see if we can improve in the races later in the week.”

Team manager Alan Jackson felt Jordan had a solid opportunity for a Supersport podium, but admitted it would have been tough to deny Peter Hickman after the 14-time winner set a hot pace on the third and last lap.
“There was an opportunity for a podium in the Supersport race and that’s obviously what we were hoping for, so whilst we’re slightly disappointed with fourth, as Paul says it’s still a good finish given the three riders that finished above us,” said Jackson.
“They’re the cream of TT riders at the moment so being the ‘best of the rest’ is still a good achievement. The team did a great job at the pit stop and the bike worked well but losing time on the road when Paul was behind Mike meant the chance of third went.
“It would still have been difficult beating Hicky given his pace on the final lap though, so we’ll take fourth and the good thing is that Paul’s riding well and we have more opportunities later in the week to get on the podium.”
