Weekend betting: What are Preston North End's chances at Nott'm Forest?
Preston North End have another tricky Midlands away day to deal with tomorrow, against an in-form Nottingham Forest side.
Will they bounce back from last weekend’s result to forget?
It’s going to be very tough for them given the absence of key players to injury.
They looked very easy to play against last weekend, with midfield general Ben Pearson and the workrate of Callum Robinson upfront a big miss.
They are an 11/4 shot with Betsid online and it’s probably a fair reflection of their chances.
If Pearson does make the starting XI, the 12/5 available for the draw could be a decent price. It is a ground they have done well at in the past so hopefully they get something.
A big weekend in the Premier League sees Southampton travel to fellow strugglers Cardiff, where Neil Warnock will have his men up for this one.
Warnock knows to stay up you must win these games and I think the 2/1 for a home win could be a decent price.
Liverpool travel down to Bournemouth for the lunchtime kick off hoping to keep the pressure on leaders Manchester City.
They don’t look much value to get the three points at 4/7, although they probably will.
Bournemouth have a goal or two in them and I would be drawn to the 2/1 for the Reds to win with both teams scoring.
The teatime kick off sees Manchester City take on Chelsea at Stamford Bridge, in what should be one of their toughest tests yet this season.
The home side will be itching to bounce back after getting turned over after a poor second half at Wolves in midweek. The away side are 5/2 to win with both teams scoring and this looks like value.
In the racing world, can Altior do what is expected of him and win the Tingle Creek at Sandown at 8/11? He should win doing cartwheels though I’m not convinced he is an 8/11 shot.
The field is down to only four runners so it’s a win-only market and at bigger odds I would be tempted to have a punt on the ever improving Sceau Royal at 5/1.
Two years younger than the favourite, this six year old could just be ready to blossom and will like the heavy conditions.
Have a good weekend folks and as always, keep it fun. Joe
