Juventus have priced themselves out of a deal for Manchester United’s Paul Pogba after introducing a self-imposed salary cap, according to the Daily Mail.

The Italian club have introduced a £7.9m-a-year salary ceiling in order to save money amid the coronavirus pandemic.

The decision effectively rules out any possibility of a return to Juve for Pogba.

Chelsea are confident of signing Angel Gomes, the 19-year-old Manchester United midfielder, reports the Daily Mirror.

Gomes is out of contract at Old Trafford in the summer and talks on a new £30,000-a-week deal have stalled.

Newcastle are ready to make a move to bring Gareth Bale back to the Premier League, according to the Daily Mail.

The Toon are prepared to offer Real Madrid £53m for the 30-year-old if their £300m Saudi takeover goes through.

But Tottenham and Inter Miami also keen on Bale.

Meanwhile, Liverpool defender Dejan Lovren is edging close to a move to Roma, reports Italian outlet Gazzetta dello Sport.
