PNE boss Simon Grayson said his side had been undone by a poor penalty decision after Huddersfield's controversial 3-2 win on Good Friday.

The game was level at 2-2 when Elias Kachunga went down under challenge from Jordan Hugill off the ball deep into stoppage time.

Referee Lee Probert pointed to the spot with Chris Maxwell saving Aaron Mooy’s penalty only for Colin Quaner to fire home the rebound in the 96th-minute.

“We’re very disappointed,” said Grayson.

“We didn’t deserve it, I thought we played very well today.

“We limited them to few opportunities, showed good character coming back into it and then we’ve been undone at the end by a really poor refereeing decision.

“I’ve spoken to the players, I’ve spoken to the referee, I’ve looked on the DVD and there’s nothing in it.

“Something went off before that and both players got up and then Kachunga turned to Jordan, walked across him stopped and then Jordan’s gone into the back of him.

“The referee has said Jordan has stamped on him and pushed him from behind but the video shows Jordan hasn’t pushed him and ultimately it’s cost us the game.”
