After seeing the banner in the away end proclaiming ”We Are QPR, We Never Win Away“ I was confident that we could secure the win needed in this important game.

However there is a saying that every dog has its day and Saturday was the day that the Londoners got the result which could be the catalyst to foul up any hopes we have of qualifying for the end of season knock out.

As it stands with nine games to go we are still holding the last spot but the manner in which we lost is a massive dent to the confidence of both players and fans alike.

We began the first half as bright as the turquoise QPR kit and with Daniel Johnson orchestrating the midfield.

But despite all our first half attacking dominance we only had the Jamaican’s coolly dispatched first half penalty to show for it. In the second half we sat back and we definitely missed the injured talisman Pearson as QPR started to win the midfield battle and equalised on the hour mark with their first shot of the match.

We almost got our noses back in front two minutes later when Sean Maguire’s header hit the bar but that was as good as it got as the rest of the game turned into a shocker for the home fans who were streaming out of Deepdale in drones long before the final whistle.

We were still being overrun in the middle of the park but looked like we had been handed a lifeline when Rangers were reduced to 10 men with 25 minutes left to play.

However it was Rangers who looked like the side with 11 players and this game was certainly a case of goals changing games when they added two further goals to inflict even more misery.

Once again we suffered from having a lack of a potent forward line.In my opinion the form and fitness of the big wage signings of David Nugent and Scott Sinclair has so far been disappointing and this needs to change as soon as possible.
