There’s three changes to the side that defeated Blackburn Rovers 2-1, as Odel Offiah, Andrija Vukcevic and Johnny Kenny - making his first start - come in for Caleb Wiley, Stanley Mills and Delano Burgzorg.

Callum Lang unsurprisingly retains his place in the side after bagging a brace on Saturday, and will be looking to add to his PNE tally on his 28th birthday. It looks like North End are playing a back three in Hertfordshire tonight.

As for the Hornets, they have made six changes from the side that lost 1-0 to West Brom on Saturday. They have only named eight substitutes, two of which are goalkeepers. Former PNE loan man Stephy Mavididi is on the bench for Watford. He was a deadline day loan signing from Leicester.

Preston North End starting XI vs Watford: Iversen, Offiah, Storey, Gibson, Clarke, Leroy, Thompson, Vukcevic, Devine, Lang, Kenny. Subs: Nicholls, Lindsay, Erabi, Small, Wiley, Mills, Gibbs, Moran, Burgzorg.

Watford starting XI vs PNE: Ravaglia, Keben, Pollock, Coulibaly, Traore, Kyprianou, Payero, Kayembe, Nabizada, Vata, Doumbia. Subs: Walker, Bachmann, Maamma, Kjerrumgaard, Bravo, Zemura, Mavididi, Eames
