Vicarage Road could be a Hornet’s nest for Preston North End

Preston North End are really starting to look like a club in bother at the moment, and it’s hard to envisage things getting any better this weekend.

The squad has been found out somewhat, with key positions short of cover and given the usual injuries at this time of year, the manager is playing a game of patch-up.

I don’t normally like to advise backing against them though as their away form this season is holding Watford’s price up a tad with the bookies. I was surprised to see the Hornets at evens!

A 2-0 home win can be backed at a decent 9/1 whilst Troy Deeney is 6/1 to score first.

It is another actionpacked weekend in the Premier League and again, punters will be looking for a route to some profit!

Liverpool didn’t look anything special at all in their midweek Europe game though this will be a different test at Brighton and they should have too much for the Seagulls.

They put a decent Leicester side to the sword last weekend and a repeat of that will make the 4/7 available for them look a big price!

Everton host Leeds at Goodison Park for the live teatime slot, and although they got back to winning ways at Fulham last weekend they didn’t look that comfortable in the end, and made the most of some suspect defending by the home side.

Leeds will be a tougher test and I just have a feeling Marco Bielsa’s side will cause them problems. Leeds can be backed at 3/1 with some firms for the win and I think it is a price worth taking a chance on!

To complete the treble I will roll it over to Sunday for the big London derby where in form Spurs travel across to Chelsea, another side who are on a good run of form.

This should be a great game for the neutral and it would be nice if we had an interest with the treble alive, and Tottenham do look a decent price to me at 5/2.

The defence looked solid and their attack as dangerous as ever against Man City last weekend. With home advantage somewhat nullified by the current circumstances, I think 5/2 is a big price!

The treble will pay will a nice 20/1 and what a time of the year to get one!

It’s the Betfair Fighting Fifth Hurdle (2:05) at Newcastle this weekend, with star Hurdler Epatante an odds on 4/6 chance.

He looks a little bit short though for me and Alan King’s SCEAU ROYAL is in decent form and must have a decent chance on ground he will appreciate, at 4/1.

Have a great weekend folks, Joe
