Team News: Preston North End skipper Alan Browne comes in for Accrington Stanley friendly

Preston North End boss Ryan Lowe switched up his defence for his side’s fourth pre-season game of the summer against Accrington Stanley.

In came Bambo Diaby, Patrick Bauer and Greg Cunningham to North End’s back three, and Lowe also named two strikers.

Agaisnt Getafe in PNE’s previous game, he opted for one forward with two no.10’s in behind Emil Riis.

This time the Dane, and last season’s top scorer, is partnered with Ched Evans who starts for the first time this summer.

Robbie Brady is again used at left wing back, his second game in a North End shirt, with Brad Potts at right wing back.

Ben Whiteman is given a rest in the middle of midfield, Lowe using it as an opportunity to get more minutes into the legs of Browne who joined up with the squad late after international duty.

Aside from young goalkeeper James Pradic, it is the same squad as went on the pre-season training camp in Alicante.
