Preston North End manager Ryan Lowe is preparing for his sixth transfer window as manager at Deepdale.
There has been success in the loan market, with the likes of Cameron Archer, Tom Cannon, Alvaro Fernandez and Liam Millar brought through the door. As for permanent recruits, the Liverpudlian has made a dozen during the course of his PNE tenure.
How do they rate and rank? We have a go, here...

5. Milutin Osmajic
With a club record fee naturally comes expectation and pressure. Osmajic blew hot and cold in his first season at Preston, but the debut year in England is always a big test. He finished with eight goals and there's certainly scope for the 24-year-old to kick on. 6.5/10 | CameraSport - Andrew Kearns

6. Robbie Brady
His availability record has been a plus, as Brady's injury record was a bit of a concern when he signed a two-year deal at PNE. The Irishman has come in for criticism, but the second half to last season saw him find some form and consistency. His suitability to wing-back still remains under question, but Brady's effort and endeavour can never be faulted. 6/10 | Getty Images

7. Jack Whatmough
An up and down first season for him at Preston, with a couple of injuries suffered and 15 starts in total. Whatmough is a fierce competitor and aggressive defender, who even gave it a go in midfield when asked last season. He'll be looking to make his mark next year. 6/10 | CameraSport - Lee Parker

8. Layton Stewart
Was signed as a 'project', so next season is a big one for Stewart - who made 16 appearances in the Championship last season. Came ever so close to scoring at Plymouth, which was his best performance. Opted to stick around instead of exploring a loan in January - the challenge is for him to force his way into the team. Time is still on his side. 5.5/10 | CameraSport -
