Reading v Preston North End team news: Alex Neil makes SIX changes to the PNE side

Preston North End manager Alex Neil made six changes to the Preston North End starting XI for the game against Championship leaders Reading at the Madejski Stadium.

Emil Riis, Paul Huntington, Joe Rafferty, Ryan Ledson, Brad Potts and Scott Sinclair came into the side.

Andrew Hughes and Patrick Bauer missed out through injury, with Jayden Stockley, Josh Harrop, Paul Gallagher and Tom Barkhuizen dropping to the bench.

Darnell Fisher was passed fit after coming off during the 2-1 defeat to Birmingham City with cramp in his hamstring.

Emil Riis returns to the Preston North End side against Reading

For Huntington, it was the centre-back's first Championship start of the season - he came on as a half-time substitute against Millwall last week.

Reading: Rafael, Esteves, Morrison, McIntyre, Richards, Rimomhota, Laurent, Aluko, Semedo, Olise, Joao. Subs: Yiadom, Gibson, Watson, Tetek, Baldock, Puscas, Walker.

PNE: Rudd, Fisher, Huntington, Storey, Rafferty, Ledson, Johnson, Potts, Browne, Sinclair, Riis. Subs: Earl, Harrop, Gallagher, Stockley, Maguire, Barkhuizen, Ripley.
