Transfer gossip: Preston North End have £1.5m bid rejected by Portsmouth for Callum Lang
PNE are reportedly stepping up their interest in Portsmouth’s Callum Lang.
Preston North End have reportedly had a fresh offer for Callum Lang rejected by Portsmouth.
That’s according to transfer guru Pete O’Rourke, who has claimed Pompey have turned down a seven-figure offer from North End for the 27-year-old’s services.
A bid in the region of £1.5m is said to have been promptly rejected by the south coast outfit.
The ex-Wigan Athletic man was at the centre of a reported swoop by PNE, who were claimed to have tabled a £2million offer for the attacker.
The versatile operator currently remains sidelined for Portsmouth due a hamstring issue, with injuries so far limiting him to eight Championship appearances this season.
Lang has spent two years at Fratton Park, where he’s netted 15 goals and provided three assists across 53 appearances.
