Preston North End youngster secures National League loan move

Preston North End youngster Aaron Bennett has joined National League side Altrincham on a three-month loan deal.

Bennett has featured for PNE during pre-season though did not go on the pre-season tour of Spain.

The 18-year-old has been in scintillating form of late for the U19s, despite having to recover from a long term injury. He missed 10 months of his two year scholarship but made up for lost time upon his return towards the end of last season, playing 12 times and netting 11.

He signed a one-year professional contract in May after impressing Ryan Lowe at the end of last season, he had been training with the first team then and has continued to since.

It is a chance for the young midfielder to get regular, senior game time at a good and competitive level with National League, and newly professional, outfit Alty.

They play their first game of the season this weekend against Maidstone United following on from their 14th place finish last season.
