Preston North End were left to rue a 96th minute equaliser in Wednesday night’s 2-2 draw with Southampton.
Here are our talking points from the Deepdale clash.

5. Millar provides the X Factor
Liam Millar’s start to life in a Preston shirt sent expectation levels soaring and the Canadian has been trying to hit those heights again ever since. He has had moments in most games but, back in the starting lineup against Southampton and up against a top talent in Kyle Walker-Peters, Millar relished the battle. Not everything comes off for the tricky wide man but he will always look to be positive in possession and try to make something happen. You can see why PNE have brought him to the club and the two seem a good fit for each other. Millar is exciting and has plenty of scope to grow. He is not the finished article; if he was he likely wouldn’t be at North End. Preston have been crying out for a natural wide player and this is one to get right behind, stick with and support. | CameraSport - Dave Howarth
