Preston North End to face Barcelona in pre-season while other friendly cancelled
News around PNE’s pre-season emerged over the weekend
Preston North End will conclude their pre-season with a game against Barcelona, according to reports in Spain.

It has been claimed that PNE will face the La Liga giants on Monday, 3 August in a behind-closed-doors clash at St George’s Park.
Hansi Flick’s side are spending one week in England as part of their summer schedule and play Birmingham City on 27 July.
Now, although not yet announced by Preston, it appears Paul Heckingbottom’s side will provide the other test for Barcelona.
In other news, PNE’s second friendly - away to Chorley - has been cancelled due to clashing with England World Cup semi-final against Argentina.
The Magpies will still have their club bar opened for the game, while information on ticket refunds will be announced as soon as possible.
