Paul Huntington returned to the Preston North End starting XI for the Championship clash with Wycombe Wanderers at Deepdale.

Huntington replaced Patrick Bauer who snapped the Achilles tendon in his left leg in the latter stages of the 3-2 win at AFC Bournemouth and is ruled out for the season.

This is the centre-back's 291st appearance in a North End shirt.

Apart from the change at the heart of the defence, PNE manager Alex Neil stuck with the other 10 players who started at Bournemouth.

Young midfielder Adam O'Reilly returned to the match day squad, getting a place on the bench.

Wycombe included former North End winger Daryl Horgan in their side.

Horgan spent 18 months with PNE after signing from Dundalk, before being sold to Hibernian in August 2018.
