Paul Huntington, Alan Browne, Daniel Johnson and Tom Barkhuizen came into the starting XI, with Anthony Gorddon, Jayson Molumby and Brad Potts dropping to the bench, while Andrew Hughes was ruled out through injury.

There were returns to the bench for Sean Maguire and Paul Gallagher, striker Maguire having played only once since the end of January.

Ryan Ledson and Liam Lindsay remained on the casualty list.

Former PNE midfielder Ben Pearson made his return to Deepdale, Pearson having been sold to Bournemouth in the latter days of the January transfer window.
