Preston North End discussing loan move with former Bayern Munich forward - report
The transfer window slams shut this week.
Preston North End are actively looking to strengthen their striker options before Tuesday’s 11pm deadline.

A new report from Pete O’Rourke on Monday has linked them with a loan move for Fulham man Jonah Kusi-Asare, with player and club supposedly ‘in talks’ over a deal..
The 19-year-old made his professional debut for AIK Stockholm in 2023, becoming their youngest ever player, before moving to one of the biggest clubs in the world.
He was signed by Bayern Munich in 2024 for a reported €4.5m and made his way up through their ranks.
In December 2024, he was an unused substitute for their senior team in an away game at Mainz 05. Four months later, he made his debut for the Bundesliga champions, coming on to replace Harry Kane against the same opposition, with two minutes remaining.
He was part of the 32-man squad that travelled to North America for Bayern’s 2025 Club World Cup, but did not feature.
After more time in and around the first-team setup during pre-season and the start of the 2025/26 campaign, Kusi-Asare was loaned out to Fulham on the final day of last summer’s transfer window.
After making 10 senior appearances across all competitions last season for the Cottagers, his move became permanent this June for a reported €6m.
He also made five appearances for Fulham’s under-21s, scoring four goals.
Kusi-Asare has also represented Sweden at under-17, under-19 and under-21 level, netting seven times in 29 games for his country.
He stands at 6’ 5’’ and is seen by Fulham as a star of the future.
When he was signed on a permanent basis this summer, the club’s Director of Football Tony Khan said: “I’m thrilled to welcome Jonah Kusi-Asare to Fulham on a long-term contract.
“We believe that he is a very talented young player with massive potential and a bright future, and we’re very happy that Jonah is joining the Club permanently now following his time with us on loan.”
Meanwhile, a contrasting report from Alan Nixon claims North End are focusing on bringing in former club captain Alan Browne and ex-loanee Cameron Archer.
Paul Heckingbottom has been vocal about his desire for North End to add more attacking depth in recent weeks.
Whoever North End bring in, it’s sure to be a busy final 36 hours of the summer transfer window.
