Preston North End manager Ryan Lowe has made 19 signings in total during his time at the Deepdale helm.
Eight of those arrived this summer, with nine recruits brought in over the course of the 2022/23 season. In Lowe’s first transfer window - January 2022 - the Liverpudlian added two players. One of those was Bambo Diaby, who had already been training with the club prior to the boss’ arrival.
We have now had a go at ranking every signing made by Lowe at PNE, with a rating excluded for those players recruited this summer - given the infancy their respective Preston careers are in.

5. 14. Ben Woodburn - 5/10
Had that great afternoon at Blackburn away last season and made 40 appearances in his debut campaign. Has struggled for game time this season, with zero league starts made. His time at PNE could be heading towards the end. Photo: CameraSport - Rich Linley

6. 13. Bambo Diaby - 5.5/10
It was never dull with Diaby, who endeared himself to the PNE fans and always played with great heart. A wonderful personality, but his performances on the pitch ultimately blew hot and cold. Photo: CameraSport - Ian Cook

7. 12. Robbie Brady - 5/10
Played more games than most people expected last season - 34 in total - and provided six assists. Does not really suit the wing-back system and has had a tough 2023/24 campaign with injuries, form and suspension. | CameraSport - Alex Dodd

8. 11. Jack Whatmough - 5.5/10
There's a steady central defender in there, as shown at Norwich City this season and a handful of other games. He has, though, suffered a few injury setbacks and the ex-Wigan Athletic man will want to stay fit for a prolonged period, to show what he can truly do. | CameraSport - Andrew Kearns
