It’s transfer deadline day – that means that when the clock strikes 11pm tonight, Preston and their Championship rivals won’t be able to conclude deals until the summer window.
That is, of course, barring any late deal sheet drama where clubs are permitted to make a signing after the deadline if the required paperwork has been completed.
As part of the deal, Preston are expected to sign Reds defender Sepp van den Berg, who will arrive on loan until the summer.
Preston North End’s Josh Earl has joined League One side Burton Albion on loan for the rest of the season.
It is the 22-year-old's third loan spell away from Deepdale in the last 18 months, with him having played at Bolton Wanderers and Ipswich last season.
With Greg Cunningham signed to provide competition for Andrew Hughes in the left-back spot, North End want Earl to gain further experience at Burton.
And as the clock ticks ever closer to 11pm, we’re taking you through the latest rumours surrounding Preston and their second-tier rivals.
