Freddie Woodman starts in goal, Robbie Brady starts at wing back and Troy Parrott gets the nod as one of the two strikers.

North End will be looking to secure three points on the opening day this time around, having been beaten 4-1 on the opening day last season by Hull City.

Wigan will still be on a high from last season however, as like Hull, they won the League One title in 2021/22.

Former North End forward Will Keane lines up against his former side, having finished top scorer for the Latics last season.
