The Irish face England in a friendly at Wembley on Thursday night, then have Nations League matches against Wales and Bulgaria.

Maguire played twice for his country last month in the games against Wales and Finland, and will be looking to add to his 10 caps over the coming days.

He joins North End team-mate Alan Browne in the squad.

A Football Association of Ireland statement said: "Republic of Ireland striker Aaron Connolly has been ruled out of the England, Wales and Bulgaria fixtures through injury.
