Preston North End striker Connor Simpson has joined Evo-Stik Premier League side Hyde United on loan.
The 18-year-old has found first-team football hard to come by at Deepdale since a £50,000 move from Hartlepool United in January.
His one senior appearance to date came in February as a stoppage-time substitute against Aston Villa at Villa Park.
Simpson will be in Hyde's squad for their league clash with gainsborough Trinity at Ewen Fields on Saturday afternoon.
North End signed the 6ft 6in front man as one for the future, with Simpson only having played a limited number of games for Hartlepool.
He had a spell on loan at Lancaster City towards the end of last season and the move to Hyde is designed to aid his development.
Simpson's loan runs until November 17.
