The statement comes after striker Emil Riis was linked with a move to Middlesbrough.
North End’s statement read: “The club are aware of rumours in the public domain regarding offers for one or more of our players.

Riis was top scorer for PNE last term, netting 21 times, and has been involved in every game so far this season.
The Dane is yet to score this season but is very much involved in the squad as things stand and it would likely take a sizeable bid to convince North End to sell.
They have no need to sell their leading striker, who is now proven at this level, and has three years left on his current contract.

Every player, of course, has their price however and PNE are not unique in that scenario, should an asking price be met for a player they will depart, but that is down to the club.
