Preston North End will look to bounce back from defeat to Derby County when they host Hull City on Tuesday.
The Lilywhites were edged, 0-1, by the Rams and now look forward to facing a team sitting one place above them in the Championship table. Sergej Jakirovic’s side are in fifth spot after winning at Southampton last time out.
PNE boss Paul Heckingbottom expects to have the same squad available to him in midweek - both Daniel Iversen (groin) and Andrew Hughes (hamstring) were surprise absentees against John Eustace’s side.
Here is our predicted PNE XI to start against Derby!

5. RWB: Pol Valentin
The Spaniard adds directness down the right and was used off the bench last game, so should be fairly fresh. Heckingbottom shared that Valentin did have an injection early last week. | CameraSport - Richard Martin-Roberts

6. CM: Ben Whiteman
No sign of the captain losing his place. He put in another steady performance last weekend even in defeat. | CameraSport - Richard Martin-Roberts
7. CM: Ali McCann
Jordan Thompson is there if Heckingbottom wants to freshen it up but you'd expect McCann to get the nod again. | CameraSport - Richard Martin-Roberts

8. LWB: Thierry Small
Jamal Lewis has been preferred of late but the full back might need managing. Small is a real threat on his day and PNE will be looking to get him back to his best. | CameraSport - Rich Linley
