Preston North End played out a 0-0 draw with Sunderland at Deepdale, on Wednesday night.
Here are our player ratings from the contest, against the league leaders.
9. Mads Frokjaer - 7
Involved in some positive first half moments and headed just wide from Greenwood's cross. Picked up pockets of space in the second half but struggled to create. | CameraSport - Dave Howarth
10. Sam Greenwood - 7
Carried a threat in the first half, just lacked the final action on a few occasions. Did deliver a delightful cross to create Frokjaer's headed chance. | CameraSport - Alex Dodd
11. Emil Riis - 7
Stretched the game more and had a couple of dangerous runs at Sunderland's defence. Saw a goal bound shot saved well just before the break. Quieter second half. | CameraSport - Dave Howarth
12. Jack Whatmough - 7
Steady off the bench, both with and without the ball. Did just fine. | CameraSport - Andrew Kearns
