Zian Flemming scored three and Charlie Cresswell added a fourth after an own goal and Ched Evans scoring his third in two games had overturned a two-goal deficit for Ryan Lowe’s side.
In the end, PNE slumped to defeat and this is how we rated the players on the day...
5. Brad Potts - 5
Although he was back in a good position to track his runner, he was turned far too easily to allow Flemming to open the scoring. Going forward, only put in one decent cross of note despite PNE's attacking threat for a lot of the game. Photo: CameraSport - Rich Linley
6. Ryan Ledson - 5
The backline didn't seem to have the same level of protection against Millwall as in previous games, and with their no.10 getting a hat-trick it doesn't reflect well on the deep midfielder who is in part tasked with nullifying the threat. Photo: CameraSport - Rich Linley
7. Ali McCann - 6
Although the Northern Irishman covered plenty of ground and made a few interceptions, on the ball he was lacking. The endeavour is never in question he just lacked a bit of quality on the day. Photo: CameraSport - Rich Linley
8. Alan Browne - 7
A driving force at times for PNE in the middle, he has the grit and strength to get stuck in and battle but also the calmness and presence of mind on the ball. Was unfortunate to be taken off and his team were worse off without him. Photo: CameraSport - Rich Linley
