Preston North End new kit release date confirmed as SpudBros share message
SpudBros have sponsored Preston North End for the last year
Preston North End’s new kit will be revealed next week with a launch event taking place at Deepdale on Saturday, 13 June.
Manufactured again by Castore, PNE’s new ‘eye-catching’ strip will be unveiled across the club’s social media channels and official website at 10am, on Wednesday 10 June. Sales, both online and in the club store, will begin at 10am on the Saturday.
A similar event to last year will take place at Deepdale, with further details on activities to be confirmed in due course. SpudBros, who were expected to continue as the club’s sponsor, issued an interesting message one week out from the reveal.
Posted on their social media channels, it read: ‘It’s been an absolute pleasure… Being the sponsor of Preston North End this season has been a huge moment for us as a business and as a family.
‘Growing up supporting the club, and with Spudfather holding a season ticket for over 30 years, seeing SpudBros on the front of the shirt is something we’ll always be proud of.
‘As we take down the first ever shirt from the training ground, we thought we’d give it a new home… We’re going to give it away to one Preston North End fan. To enter, simply comment below here or (on) Facebook and we’ll pick a random winner @pnefc’.
Since SpudBros was formed in 2020 they have become social media sensations and now operate in Liverpool, Sheffield, Portsmouth, London, Blackburn, Wakefield and Newcastle - as well as their spot on the flag market. They have five million followers on TikTok, one million on Instagram and one-and-a-half million on YouTube.
Discussing the sponsorship last summer, PNE CEO Peter Ridsdale said: “It’s a local company, it’s entrepreneurs... exactly what this country needs: young lads, who are making a name for themselves.
“The amount of media hits we’ve had, on all forms of social media from all around the world, is unbelievable. And, the interest in Preston North End as a football club, as a direct result of that sponsorship deal, is as good as it gets. We are just at the start.”
