The seven international games involving Preston North End players with duo to face each other

A handful of PNE players are in action over the international break

Four Preston North End first team players are in action for their countries over the international break.

And two of them will face each other, on Friday evening. Stefan Thordarson and Milutin Osmajic have both been called up by Iceland and Montenegro respectively. The two nations will contenst in the UEFA Nations League, in Reykjavik.

Iceland then face Turkey in Izmir, on Monday, while Montenegro return home to host Wales. Ali McCann and Robbie Brady are also away with Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland. The former host Luxembourg this evening, prior to an away clash in Bulgaria on Sunday.

Brady could face England, at the Aviva Stadium, on Saturday. It’s then Greece at home, on Tuesday night. Also heading away on international duty, with Northern Ireland U19s, is second-year scholar Max Wilson - who could play against Norway and Sweden as part of a youth mini-tournament.

Monday, 9 September: Turkey vs Iceland (19:45), Montenegro vs Wales (19:45)

Tuesday, 10 September: Republic of Ireland vs Greece (19:45)
