It's part and parcel of any season but Preston North End have been dealt their fair share of injury and availability setbacks so far.
The Lilywhites started the campaign with a threadbare match day squad, but remarkably managed to win six games on the spin. North End manager Ryan Lowe's options have been boosted since then, but there have still been blows along the way.
Here's a recap of them all - and the ones Preston headed into the season with too.

9. Robbie Brady - calf, six weeks
Brady was back in contention at the same time as Whiteman - the home win over Plymouth Argyle. A calf issue, picked up in pre-season, meant the Irishman's campaign started late. It had been a recurring injury for the number 11 and North End took extra time, to ensure it didn't crop up again. Lowe said it would've been a big problem had that happened. | National World Photo: CameraSport - Rich Linley

10. Ched Evans - return from serious medical condition
Nobody really expected to see Evans in a Preston shirt again, but he was back for match day 12 after surgery in the summer. As everyone knows, Evans developed a serious medical condition relating to his neck and spine, back in April. His total time out was seven months. | CameraSport - Dave Howarth

11. Emil Riis - long-term absentee
It's been a torrid year for the Danish striker, footballing wise. The Preston faithful are still waiting to see their 2021/22 top scorer back on the pitch, with Riis having suffered a anterior cruciate ligament injury in early January. A setback was then dealt in September, with Riis seemingly closing in on a return. He shouldn't have too much longer to wait. Photo: CameraSport - Andrew Kearns
