Stoke City v Preston North End: Early team and injury news as 7 out and 1 doubts for Boxing Day showdown

The festive period is very much upon us, with PNE set to face Stoke City on Boxing Day.

The Lilywhites go into Christmas sitting fifth in the Championship after an impressive start to the season, which has seen them pick up 36 points from their opening 22 games.

Saturday’s point against Norwich City continued North End’s fine run of form and are unbeaten in their previous six league matches.

They face a Stoke City side who have dropped away from the play-off picture in recent weeks, with their 1-0 defeat to Watford on the weekend their sixth in their previous eight.

We’ve taken a look at the early team and injury news from both camps ahead of Friday afternoon’s Boxing Day showdown at the Bet365 Stadium.
