- Here’s our round-up of the best tweets from last weekend’s Championship action
Swansea City 0-1 Leeds United
Pablo Hernandez’s late goal for Leeds United sparked scenes of wild celebration in living rooms of Whites fans, and this brilliant one (well, the audio at least) was captured by a doorbell camera.
Derby County 1-3 Brentford
The Bees continued their 100% post-restart winning run with another impressive display, as Said Benrahma once again put in a stunning performance to see his side claim a 3-1 victory over the Rams.
One way or another, he’s surely be in the Premier League next season.
Fulham 2-0 Cardiff City
The Cottagers’ push for promotion continued with a 2-0 victory over Neil Harris’ side. This moment of madness from Michael Hector went unpunished, and Bluebirds fans were, perhaps understandably, fuming.
Luton Town 2-0 Huddersfield Town
Hatters fans weren’t exactly delighted when they heard the then-Premier League Huddersfield Town’s tongue-in-cheek chant about playing Luton Town away following their relegation last season.
Well, Luton had the last laugh here, as a 2-0 win saw them do the double over the Terriers.
Charlton Athletic 0-1 Reading
The Addicks slumped to a 1-0 defeat at home to the Royals, with George Puscas’ early penalty separating the two sides.
Charlton fans were livid about this offside decision.
QPR 0-3 Sheffield Wednesday
Fresh off the back of three defeats on the bounce, the Owls dusted themselves down and thrashed QPR by three goals at Loftus Road.
This fan superbly highlighted how maddeningly inconsistent Wednesday have been this season.
Blackburn Rovers 1-1 West Bromwich Albion
The Baggies’ lack of cutting edge cost them against Rovers, as they scored just one goal despite taking 16 shots at goal, and had to settle for a point.
This West Brom supporter is certainly missing last season’s goal-machine loanee…
Preston North End 1-1 Nottingham Forest
Preston and Forest shared the spoils at Deepdale, a result that Alex Neil’s side shouldn’t be too disappointed with, given that they’re just two points off the play-off places.
Jordan Storey’s efforts went down a storm, too.
Middlesbrough 1-3 Bristol City
Middlesbrough’s defence had a rotten time of it against Bristol City, and were put to the sword at the Riverside in a comfortable win for the visiting side.
Dael Fry didn’t exactly cover himself in glory, but is probably worth a bit more than 50% of a delicious chocolate treat, to be fair…
Barnsley 0-0 Wigan Athletic
Wigan were left frustrated at Oakwell, as their hopes of gaining enough points to render their looming 12-point deduction ineffective were struck a blow against Tykes.
Latics fans had a fair few choice words for the match referee.
