There were no goals to cheer, but Preston North End supporters will have left Deepdale proud of their team’s performance last Sunday.
The Lilywhites drew 0-0 with Blackburn Rovers, in their first Lancashire derby of the season. PNE went down to 10 men on 42 minutes, with Sam Greenwood shown a straight red card for his challenge on Lewis Baker.
North End limited the visitors to very few chances, though, and came close on three or four occasions to taking the lead. Ultimately, the two defences prevailed and both sides had to settle for a point in Preston.
