Preston North End could see transfer target deal hijacked; La Liga side eye Norwich City star

The January transfer window has three weeks left to go, and while it's been slow going thus far, the action is likely to ramp up in the coming days as the pressure grows for clubs to secure new signings.

Preston North End were unceremoniously booted out of the FA Cup by divisional rivals Wycombe Wanderers last weekend, who earned a 4-1 home win against Alex Neil's side.

The Lilywhites will be looking to bounce back this weekend, when they travel to take on Bristol City - a side they've not lost to in their last fifteen meetings - at Ashton Gate on Saturday afternoon.
