Preston North End clear in latest Covid-19 tests

Preston North End were all clear in the latest round of Covid-19 tests carried out at the back end of the week.

The EFL's latest figures released on Sunday evening showed that 1,179 tests were carried out on players and staff at 24 Championship clubs and just two came back positive.

Those two positive tests were at two separate clubs. Barnsley have confirmed one of those was a member of their staff.

In the first round of testing in League One, there were zero positive tests from the 135 players and staff tested at four clubs.

League Two's 132 tests at four clubs delivered one positive result.

Any player or staff member testing positive has to self-isolate for seven days in line with EFL guidelines.
