North End are preparing to host their first home game of the season with Hull City coming to PR1, with just short of 12,000 season ticket holders set to descend on Deepdale as well as there being extra waver and surfer flags in the ground.

And despite the off-field efforts, the Lilywhites must first navigate the Tigers, who won on the opening day.

Lowe said: “With Hull, the manager has now brought his own players in and put his stamp on things.

"They play a certain way, it's a good way if you ask me, a 3-5-2 and likes to get the ball forward with interchanging wing-backs and eights.

"He's very creative in how he wants to play. We think it will be an exciting football game.

On fans’ efforts for Deepdale: “It's what I wanted, they're the things that make the hairs on the back of your neck stand up. But we've got to make sure we do our bit for them, I've said that and I will say that, and stress that, to the players.

"They've done their bit now it's over to us to do our bit. When there's 12,000, hopefully more, and the away fans chanting a little bit and a bit of back and forth with two sets of fans it's always good. I'm really looking forward to seeing it.

North End no.10 Daniel Johnson is set to make his 300th appearance for the club on Saturday and Lowe could not be happier for his midfield maestro.

He said: "It's fantastic, what an achievement. He's obviously going to be proud, him and his family, because it's a proud moment.

"To make 300 appearances for one club, there's not many people, up and down the country, that can say that is there?

"He has been a great servant to the football club and long may that continue.

"I've put in my programme notes that hopefully he can get a few hundred more because he's a valuable part of what we're trying to do at the football club. To make 300 appearances is special, so fair play."
