The Lilywhites have accepted a bid in the region of £2m from the reigning Premier League champions and the 25-year-old will undergo a medical on Merseyside on Monday.

However, they are also looking to bring in another centre-half before Monday night's deadline to ensure they have enough options to get through the season.
With Davies leaving, it would have left them with just Paul Huntington and Jordan Storey for the centre-half roles.
Cedric Kipre has been touted as one of the defensive targets to bring in, West Bromwich Albion's Kipre the subject of a a loan bid from PNE earlier in the month.

Hide AdVan den Berg was a £1.3m signing from Dutch club PEC Zwolle in June 2019, with the teenager having played three times in Liverpool's first-team.
They were looking to loan him out in January, with North End having discussed a deal for him before Liverpool showed their interest in Davies.
Davies has made 145 appearances in a Preston shirt and his PNE finale looks to have been Saturday's 1-0 defeat at Sheffield Wednesday.
He joined North End when at primary school and came through the ranks, making his first-team debut at the age of 17 in January 2013.

Davies played a total of 104 games in loan spell with York City, Tranmere Rovers, Southport, Newport County and Fleetwood Town.
Only in August 2017 after Alex Neil's appointment did he establish himself fully in the PNE squad.
Celtic had been chasing Davies and last week it was reported that he had signed a pre-contract agreement which would have seen him move to Parkhead on a Bosman in July.

Davies is in the final five months of his contract at PNE.
As well as the deal with Liverpool, North End want to do more business on Monday ahead of the deadline.
