The Lancashire Post asked the Preston North End faithful - via social media - for one player they would sign for the Lilywhites this summer. Excluding the shout of Real Madrid and England star, Jude Bellingham, here are 12 names put forward by the Deepdale faithful...
5. Sam Tickle - Wigan Athletic
There were tentative links to Tickle, back in January, but nothing ever materialised. He is one of Wigan Athletic's promising young players and made 46 appearances last season. Tickle earned an England U21 call-up this year and has been linked with Sunderland. | Cameron Howard
6. Marc Leonard - returning to Brighton
Leonard has been linked with a whole host of Championship clubs, after a couple of impressive years on loan at Northampton Town. PNE have always been mentioned and Brighton are reportedly willing to sell him for around £300,000 this summer. | Getty Images
7. Josh Knight - Peterborough United
Knight started out as a midfielder, but has established himself as a centre-back at Peterborough - who have offered him a new contract. If he rejects that, Knight will become a free agent this summer. The 26-year-old, who started out at Leicester City, scored six goals in 45 appearances last season. | Joe Dent/theposh.com
8. Jordan Williams - Barnsley
Williams, 24, has been linked with Preston before and the right sided defender is out of contract at Oakwell, this summer. He has been at Barnsley since 2018 and played 48 league games last campaign, scoring one goal and assisting three. | Pete Norton
