Preston North End are looking to strengthen in the summer transfer window and the free agent market could be explored again.
The Lilywhites are yet to make their first addition, with Alan Browne, Greg Cunningham, Liam Millar, Ben Woodburn and Lewis Leigh all gone from last season’s squad. Around five signings are expected at Deepdale in the window, with reinforcements anticipated in defence.
Adding to the backline has to be a high priority, with Cunningham having left and Patrick Bauer deemed surplus to Ryan Lowe’s requirements. A central defender, as well as wing-backs, are likely to be on the list. With that in mind, we’ve rounded up a full list of the Premier League and Championship defender free agents.
