The right-back has drawn level with Daniel Johnson in the number of goals set-up for PNE team-mates.

Fisher has provided four assists in Championship action, three of them in the last three games.

Interestingly, he has also avoided being booked in the last three games which is his longest run this season without troubling the referee.

Until last month, Fisher’s one assist of the campaign came in the 2-0 win over Brentford in September.

That day he put over the cross which Tom Barkhuizen put into the net for North End’s second goal.

Wind the clock forward to January 18 and it was Fisher’s pass which Josh Harrop collected before stepping inside and curling home a delightful finish into the far top corner.

Four days later against Barnsley at Oakwell, Fisher put over an inch-perfect cross – delivered first time – for Barkhuizen to fire PNE in front.

Last week in the 1-1 draw with Swansea, Fisher’s throw-in was collected by Scott Sinclair who set off on a fine run before finding the back of the net.

One more assist and he will have beaten his tally for the whole of last season.

While his assists have started to creep up, Fisher has yet to score in his time as a Preston player.

He is part-way through his third season at Deepdale and has made 94 appearances.

The only goal of his career came when Fisher was on loan at St Johnstone from Celtic. That came in a 3-0 win at Hearts in the Scottish Premier League in March 2016.
