Player Ratings: Preston North End 2-1 Queens Park Rangers
Preston North End made it two wins in a week as they saw off Queens Park Rangers at Deepdale, winning 2-1.
Emil Riis scored in the first half before Cameron Archer doubled their lead, with a late Andre Gray penalty pulling one back for the visitors with one of the last kicks of the game.
After a slow start, Ryan Lowe’s men got their game going and were deserving winners on home soil.
Here’s how we rated PNE on the day.

5. Andrew Hughes - 7
Set up the first goal forward from centre half and is showing why he's the favourite to win the player of the year award with voting open from this week.

6. Ali McCann - 7
A big improvement from recent games as a wing back and on his more comfortable side on the right. Got forward at the right times and put a few decent balls in though none were turned home.

7. Ben Whiteman - 7
Grew into the game after a slow first 45 where he could not really maintain possession and certainly not to his usual standards. Got going in the second and began to dictate the tempo as we are used to seeing.

8. Alan Browne - 7
Like Whiteman he did not start the best, but did forge a great chance breaking forward. Was back at it in the second half. His improvement, alongside the rest of the midfield helped PNE seize the game - should have scored towards the end.
