A penalty from Adam Armstrong, from Joe Rafferty's foul and sending off, and further goals from Ben Brereton and Tyrhys Dolan saw Rovers to three points at a canter.
Here's how the players fared on the night...
13. Jordan Storey - 6
Brought on for an injured Darnell Fisher and didn't have any time to do much wrong or right. Might well feature at the weekend without any full backs available.
14. Sean Maguire - 6
Unsurprisingly with Rovers so on top, Maguire had very little in the game after coming on for Emil Riis. Did what he could but his chances will come in other games.
15. Jayden Stockley - 6
Brought on for Daniel Johnson with not long to go in the game, Stockley had little he could do.
