Alex Neil’s side scored twice in the second half, Will Smallbone and Tyrese Campbell both finding the back of the net.
PNE failed to register a shot on target in the game, during their second defeat in two games.
Here’s how we rated the players on the day...
13. Brad Potts - 6
Came on after the race was run really, with Stoke 2-0 up and PNE off the pace all he could do was run around in desperation. Photo: CameraSport -
14. Ben Woodburn - 6
Didn't get into the game when coming into the middle of the midfield that had been dominated by the Potters, better to judge when given more chance to have an impact. Photo: CameraSport -
15. Ched Evans - 6
Came on and put himself about but a lot of what he does looks like hard work at the moment, in trying to keep the ball or in trying to bring it in. A player a bit out of touch at the moment it seems. Photo: CameraSport - Rich Linley
16. Finlay Cross-Adair - 7
A great day for a PNE fan that has made his way right through the ranks and into the first team. Congratulations to him. It is a shame there was not a better result to be introduced for. Photo: CameraSport -
