PNE were unfortuante not to have won the game, having plenty of chances throughout but for the bodies of the Millers players being flung in front of the ball.
Here’s how we rated the North End players on the night...
9. Daniel Johnson - 7
Despite not having his best game, he still contributed well. Should have scored in the first hald and pressed well. Linked up well in the forward areas just could not make things click. Photo: CameraSport - Dave Howarth
10. Alan Browne - 7
Like Daniel Johnson, he did not have the impact he would have liked. There were good parts of his game and if anything at times he seemed to try too hard or to play one too many passes to make chances better. Photo: CameraSport - Dave Howarth
11. Troy Parrott - 8
Fantastic, again. He led the line brilliantly at Luton and did the same at Deepdale. His runs in behind were timed very well and helped PNE be a threat, particularly in the first half. Should have scored when he went through one on one, the only thing lacking from his game is his finishing. Photo: CameraSport - Dave Howarth
12. Emil Riis - 7
Looked bright after coming on for the final 30 minutes, nearly scored when he beat two Rotherham players and crashed the ball off the near post. Photo: CameraSport - Dave Howarth
