They were in fine form as they beat Blackburn Rovers 4-1 at Ewood Park. Ben Woodburn opened the scoring for North End before Ched Evans doubled their lead.
Bradley Dack scored for Rovers but Evans quickly restored their advantage before Ben Whiteman finished off the scoring.
The win sent PNE into fourth at the final whistle and fifth at the end of the day, with four wins from their last five games.
Here’s how we rated the PNE players on the day...

9. Ben Woodburn - 8
Showed his footballing intelligence in the way he pressed off the ball. Took the opening goal so well with a magnificent calmness and got North End on their way. Photo: Barrington Coombs

10. Daniel Johnson - 8
Back to his best. He had a shaky start and could easily have sunk but instead he found his footing and looked back to his timeless self. Gives off an impression he has more time on the ball than other and his backheel for Whiteman's goal was sublime, one of two assists. Photo: CameraSport - Mick Walker

11. Ched Evans - 9
Evans bullied and battered all of the Rovers defence, on his own. That isn't to say there wasn't class in his game too, he was in the right place as a striker to finish off the second goal and his header for the third is not an easy one to score, but he did with aplomb. 12. Finlay Cross-Adair - 6
Although he didn't get much time in the game, it's another PNE appearance for a lifelong fan who is clearly impressing the North End coaching staff. Photo: CameraSport - Alex Dodd
