Preston North End need to turn things around and the number of changes for this weekend's trip to Norwich City is anyone's guess.
The Lilywhites have lost three games on the spin, with late heartbreak against Cardiff City and dreadful displays in the losses to Middlesbrough and Queens Park Rangers. North End manager Ryan Lowe admitted he could feel negativity around last Friday - and that opportunities could now come the way of players who've been waiting for them.
He said: "I am not sitting here rock bottom of the league, with no solutions. It is a worry, but we've seen it and we know what these players can do. So, the quicker we get back to doing what is good, the better we will be. I am going to stick with them, but there are opportunities now for players coming back from injury and players who've been sat on the bench - maybe not getting on or getting on for 10 or 15 minutes. In our next game, there are probably 11 places up for grabs."
With that in mind, we look at the changes PNE could benefit from and the ones Lowe could also make for the upcoming away clash.

5. Pottsy back from suspension
Calvin Ramsay made his full debut for North End last week, but Lowe suggested it came a tad earlier than the ideal time for him. Therefore, the return of Brad Potts - who was suspended against QPR - looks pretty nailed on. Ramsay will want to kick on and get himself up to full speed, but with a three game week the pair will likely be rotated. 6. Best or Millar down the left
Lowe went 4-2-3-1 against QPR, with Mads Frokjaer out on the left and Hughes at left back. It did not work out, with Frokjaer a little lost out wide and struggling to impact the game in the way he can. You would expect PNE to return to 3-5-2 or 3-4-2-1 this weekend, with Kian Best and Liam Millar the leading contenders to operate down the left flank. Best is still young and has been caught out defensively a few times, so a return to wing-back could allow him to thrive more and showcase his crossing and passing ability. As for Millar, the spark he provides is clear but there are big question marks over his suitability for wing-back. | CameraSport - Dave Howarth

7. Layton Stewart more involved
Every time PNE's boss is asked about Layton Stewart, the verdict is positive. It has been a process for the summer signing, in order to get ready physically for the Championship stage. With the campaign almost at the half way stage, though, he has made four substitute appearances only - totalling 14 minutes. Even last Friday, against a seemingly ordinary QPR side, Stewart was only introduced in the 87th minute. It may be time for Lowe to really show his faith in the player and give him greater game time over the busy festive schedule. If Stewart's finishing ability is as strong as Lowe says and he is training well, the ex-Liverpool man will feel he deserves a shot and can make an impact. | National World Photo: CameraSport - Andrew Kearns
