Memory Match: When Preston North End left it late to beat Cardiff City

Preston North End face the long trip to Cardiff City this weekend in the Championship but this is of course not the first time the two teams have met.

Back in December 2017 PNE closed out their year with a trip to the Cardiff City Stadium, with the home side chasing promotion.

It was instead Alex Neil’s Lilywhites that took the three points from the Welsh capital, captain Tom Clarke heading the ball home to secure a 1-0 win.
