PNE were beaten 2-1 by Daniel Farke's side on Sunday afternoon - with Joel Piroe scoring a 94th minute winner
Preston North End left Elland Road empty handed on Sunday afternoon, as Joel Piroe struck an injury time winner from the penalty spot.
Here are our five talking points from the clash.
5. Ryan Lowe on those substitutions...
"It's not easy coming to Elland Road, is it? We wanted to get fresh legs on and break the play up a bit, which we did. You only have to see the changes they were making and they were on the front foot. The crowd is a big factor isn't it? Wow, the twelfth man, I couldn't hear myself speak at one point. (Emil) did fantastically well and I was taking him off, because he was tiring at one point. But, he then did cramp up. He said he was alright one minute and then five minutes later he wasn't. But, I thought they were excellent; I've got no fault in the boys."
PNE's front three on the day was the one which sparked victory over Bristol City and finished that game. And, the signs are quite exciting. Emil Riis looks strong and powerful, complimenting the cute and clever Keane nicely in a front two. Behind them, Mads Frokjaer looked a class act in spells with his touch, composure and awareness impressive. Frokjaer is a genuinely fun player to watch, but he will need to do the other, uglier side of the game to succeed in the Championship and a Preston shirt. Therefore, seeing him track back and execute a brilliant slide tackle as Leeds looked to attack down the left was fantastic to see. He is someone Preston must get right behind and continue to work with, because his technical ability is outstanding and the Dane also seems to have a smart football brain. With Liam Millar down the left too, the goal threat throughout PNE's side suddenly looks really strong. With North End likely to stay in and around mid-table for the rest of the season, that is a formula you'd like to see continue.
"If you don't play them after they've scored and done well... I liked what I saw at the weekend and that's why they played. I thought they were excellent in everything we asked them to do. We are hoping (they can thrive together) and that's what we want; Keano scoring again. I thought they were brilliant."
