A huge night for PNE

It’s a massive night for the club and all involved as Preston North End celebrate their 5000th league game.

A big occasion is nothing without a presentation

Alex Neil not messing around

After poor performances and lsoing their play-off spot, drastic action has been taken by the North End boss.

Five changes tonight, with the seniority of Paul Huntington coming in at the back amongst them.

Derby’s line up...

Two club legends mark the occasion

Alex Neil sending a message?

With Tom Clarke recenlty leaving Deepdale, could the recalling of Paul Huntington show the type of leadership he wants around the place?

He’ll be in to shore things up and take a more no-nonsense approach but would Clarke have also featured had he been fit and signed on?

Despite their best efforts, North End are just one place outside of the play-off places. They sit four points back and so could jump to within one tonight.

Derby could leapfrog PNE into seventh this evening, which would leave them a point behind too.

Alex Neil giving opportunities

Speaking before the game, Alex Neil said that he’s giving his players the chance to impress tonight.

According the PNE boss they haven’t been good enough in either box.

Big occasion for Nugent tonight too

David Nugent is set to make his 600th career league appearance, against his former side Derby County.
