Full Time: Derby County 1-2 PNE
North End get the win in the end!
A good all round display from Alex Neil’s men who unjustly fell behind to Knight’s poke at goal after the PNE defence failed to clear.
Tom Barkhuizen came off the bench to equalise with a stunning volley from the edge of the area, clipping the crossbar on the way in.
In the 91st minute Preston completed the comeback, Fisher’s cross striking an arm and Johnson’s confidently dispatching.
Brighton and Hove Albion or Portsmouth await PNE in the third round.
Two minutes into added time
North End won their penalty right on the stroke of the final minute of the game and are currently two minutes into added time which will be extended due to the goal.
GOAL PNE! 1-2!
Never in doubt! Johnson confidently steps up to put the ball into the top right hand corner of the net.
Penalty PNE!
Fisher’s cross is handled!
Sinclair cut inside well and forced a save from Roos, the ball is recycled by the right back and a Derby defender leans his arm into the ball.
Barkhuizen shot blocked
Matt Clarke charges down another Barkhuizen volley from a knock down at the edge of the area. PNE pushing hard now.
